Matt Posted July 16, 2015 Share adblock in chrome...... 5 ads blocked this morning on thehub. Ad block will also block legitimate ads on the site... The ones which fund our existence. That's most likely the number its reporting to you. These pop up ads aren't ones we've authorized or added ourselves.
Iwan Kemp Posted July 16, 2015 Share For what it's worth, I use AdGuard (better than ABP and sleeker looking), but not on The Hub. Too many cool deals advertised to miss out! Anyway, point being no blocker activated for The Hub and I haven't had the pop ups. Some tips for those on Chrome- Go to settings- Check under "Extensions". Quite a few of these manage to get an extension added without you knowing Also check under Settings -> Search -> Manage Search Engines. Delete all of those you don't use as your default search engine The Windows guys should go to Uninstall a Program. Click to sort by date installed and Uninstall all the crap that's been added in there. Pop Deals / Surf Net all culprits of retail malware. Same apply to the other browsers, just not sure how to get there. Google is your friend.
Iwan Kemp Posted July 16, 2015 Share If all else fails, do a fresh install of Chrome / Firefox. It will give you the opportunity to experience IE again. Be warned, IE will try to get you to stay. Several times. Fortunately the experience will be motivation enough to resist the lure.
