HappyMartin Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Meintjies1st ever top 10 GC for a South African in a Grand TourYep. I must sound like a broken record by now but he has amazed me. Kept out of trouble. Always up with the top guys, every day. Youngest guy up there I think. Not much help from team mates. Watch this young man go. Imagine him in two years. Clever move by Lampre to sign him.
Patchelicious Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 When a team who's manager is a notorious doper, their GC leader gets DQed for cheating, was the team where Clenbutador was busted and stripped his titles, employed Armstrong at the height of his suspicions, at last count 11 riders banned for doping, on several occasion been barred to enter Grand Tours (only to have it over turned the few days before) due to them failing doping control audits, show massive improvements after going for "blood tests", send riders to race against UCI recommendations because of suspicious results and somehow retain their racing license against all logic win a Grand Tour, I feel like puking!!!! Sad day for cycling.

' The fact that it's the opening verse of The Winner takes it All which is about the dissolution of a farcical marriage.. I mean, cycling team... is entirely coincidental.

'Dale Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Tomorrow I will be proud, but now it’s just disappointment...I was just empty. I had no legs. I had an idea but you have just got to deal with it. The whole race has been nice for me.” Dumoulin
tombeej Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 With the 3 TT's announced for the Giro, I'm sure we'll see him lining up for another crack at a grand tour GC very soon.

Plus I had to work... I shall stick to worrying what Warren G does for a living in the 'Lady Pro' thread. #firstworldproblems
