Slowbee Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 So we know that hubber geraldm24 sorted us an awesome TDF this year. Those who have been around for for a while will remember his first Hub tour. What you might not know is that he is also employed and a dad and also a bike rider. So to make this thing happen for us he took time out from his family for us. Many have suggested giving the man a bottle of bells, but a little bird told me that geraldm24 would rather prefer to buy his wife a BIG bunch of flowers and some chocolates for the family as a way to say thanks to his wife for letting him organise this. It might take a bunch of flowers every month for the next year to get his Mrs to give him permission to do this again! As I said to Slowbee and Admin (and even Talus after last year's competition), that I do it for fun and prefer not to receive anything - consider it my contribution to a "worthy cause". However, Slowbee insisted so the flowers are "thanks from the competitors" for the time that I spent running in the competition (points) rather than on them - especially when they were sitting waiting to go out and I said... "I just want to quickly finish the update".
