Mr Winter Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 On that note, if anybody else knows of a comrades entry going please let me know. I have a mate who cannot plan and now needs one. On Comrades qualifying, for the Gauteng and surrounds. Vaal marathon and Irene ultra and good for Q and seeding purposes. My running buddie has picked up an injury, his entry might become available if t does i'll let you know. Edgar 1

ScottCM Posted February 3, 2017 Author Posted February 3, 2017 Thats pretty cool thanks Shaper, I especially like the Impact force as that can help identify changes need to be made if you suffer from joint injuries. only thing is you will need data to compare it to but nonetheless still cool
Khronis Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Just a question regarding licences , Do you have to belong to a club to get a licence or can you just get one for the year like you can with cycling ?
Hacc Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Just a question regarding licences , Do you have to belong to a club to get a licence or can you just get one for the year like you can with cycling ?Unfortunately, you have to join a club. ScottCM Posted February 3, 2017 Author Posted February 3, 2017 Just a question regarding licences , Do you have to belong to a club to get a licence or can you just get one for the year like you can with cycling ? As stated above you need a club, but with most club once you join the licence and running vets is all included and some of them are pretty much the same price as the cycling licence alone.
Stretch Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Unfortunately, you have to join a club. There are lots of virtual clubs like Team Vitality, Modern Athlete etc. Its not unfortunate at all in my opinion....Clubs are why there are so many races to choose from and why they are still relatively cheap when compared to trail running and mountain biking. support your local club...run in their time trails...and compete in the inter club time trials.
