Barry Stuart Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 How many folk will be traveling to the Comrades start from the Midlands area (Pmb/Hilton/Howick etc) on the morning of the race? Or are the majority of runners staying in the Durban area? Am in two minds about trying to find a place in Durban - maybe wishful thinking at this stage- for the Saturday night or stay in my own bed and lose an hour of sleep.Folks are going to give me a lift from their place in Hilton. I was considering staying with mates in Durban but I figure the familiarity of my parents' house and the fact that my dad has done a few Comrades (so he'll understand where to be by when) means the early trip is worthwhile. Plus it means he'll have to second me ???? Stretch and ScottCM 2

Lexx Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Anyone knows when the Comrades App for Android will be ready? Last week they said 24-48h?
Jackes Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Untitled.jpg Very sad OH NOOOOOOOOOO.....       I was afraid the whole time that the silence may perhaps be bad news... Lexx 1
CobusV Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 (edited) Untitled.jpg Very sad I've been "stalking" her strava profile the past 3 weeks and suspected something might be up (average mileage of only 20km the past 4 weeks, with 0km last week). If sheer training volume is something to go by, her brother might be in for a good run again. 2800km this year so far (average of over 150km the past 4 weeks). If I'm not mistaken he did a ~3:15 on ODD and a touch over 3 for Irene Ultra... Edited May 22, 2017 by CobusV
Hacc Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 (edited) Untitled.jpg Very sadThat just sucks... I feel sad for her, I wanted her to win this year after last year's second place. I also suspected something was wrong when I heard that she hasn't been running since OMTOM. She must be heart broken, I hope she has a good wine collection.
