My mile attempt I just managed a sub 3 for the first km and then the wheels steered falling off.....overall was just over 3/km for the mile.. Like 3:02 I think... But also almost died at the end. Intervals certainly keep us in check.. ferret prob does a 15min 5km with his eyes closed!

He Wishes.. a sub18 5km at the moment is a proper push.. Leg just hasn't quite been the same "leg speed wise"  since the Break but Ill get there..  all about Comrades 2018...

Lesotho Ultra Trail 50km this weekend should give it a proper test...  3000m VA in 50kms, going to be fun....

Meh, they're still fun and great motivation. There's a guy who took a CR on 6th street from me. In trying to get that crown back, I've taken 8 seconds off my original time. He's still ahead of me but it's a nice little carrot.

I discovered that I am 2nd in one near me with "little" effort... Got some 10 secs to reclaim over a mile... Definitely doable...I love these little challenges

Nice work. I need to track you down on Strava and start following you to steal some of your training techniques.

And yeah, it's all in good spirit. Whenever I lose a CR I log on and give the runner kudos. Partly to let him know I coming back for my crown ????

I've also used them as a sort of Fartlek workout. Plot out a route that covers about five or six segments, run recovery pace to each one and then give it a full go. Good fun.

Man I got excited when I saw T7 racers for sale, then I realised the only size they have left would have last fitted me age 12...

Yeah, sorry... looking at the sizing I probably shouldn't have bothered posting

Don't get these promo's with basically no sizes

Yeah me too, I know the main importer of Brooks very well, and there is not a single US9 available in this country. We have both looked..

Cos if there was I would have bought every last pair in my size..

Cant believe some Brands will drop a shoe that is so popular...The new Hyperion is decent but nowhere near the responsiveness of the T7.

I'm looking for some new running sunglasses. What do you use/recommend?

(I can't remember if this was discussed on here before)

Oakley Jawbreaker, only because they're so ridiculous.

(And really good for cycling.. thats the real reason  )

I really enjoy them because of the thin arms that are slightly curved. Even though i don't have a  round face, its allows you to easily put them back on over your helmet straps while riding. Then lenses are wide enough to block wind and the narrow arms allow for plenty cooling as not to fog up.

On the run i don't notice them on my face, even when needing to wipe sweat from my brow it can easily be done without have to remove them.

I was always an Oakley fan but after i bought these i wont go back.

BUT, there is a reason there are so many variety's on the market, not everyone likes the same things. Best bet is to fit them on and them make a decision.

Because Glasses are a 5 - 10year investment at modern day prices, I intentionally went for a 5km run to the mall and was all hot and bothered by the time i entered the store to fit them so i could get a sense of how they would fit and whether or not they would bug my in the heat of the moment. Disclaimer: I did get plenty funny looks though.
