Drink all the beer on route....tastes better....and its free.

 

The minolta people going up wynberg hill have the best bacon butter rolls. The folk in kommetjie have the best champagne. The folks at noordhoek just before chappies have good beer. Any pub on suikerbossie has excellent ciders which you can swop with refills from the crowd if you ask nicely. Camps bay the best cocktails bought for free by foreigners who think riding a bicycle for 100km is mad and so support you.

 

Most importantly have a driver to take you home safely.........

It specifically says on the handle bars so I VERY reluctantly complied but that placement is a great idea if you can get away with it. Just don't what to end up having to cut it off and put it on the bars anyway

I ended up wedging it in underneath my Garmin mount. It's slightly bent so it's out of the way at least. Stupid requirement though.

Handlebars?  They can kiss my furry butt!  I had it on the handlebars for the Stellies race, and it is very inconvenient as I like to ride with my hands to the middle of the handlebar.  So it is now on my frame at the tail end.
