What group were you in? Might be us that you passed, had the speaker going and "18 till I die" was on our playlist:)

I rode with the missus. She was undertrained but we cruised home to 5h20 - a pb for her.

Laughed plenty. The most funny was after the waterpoints they had the "chuck zones". My wife asks me what they are for - i tell her they are there for peoole to throw rubbish in, she says (not joking) "oh, i thought they set them up for people to go puke there"

A 5H rider told me today he saw a five-seater tandem (whatever that's called)  motoring along at one heck of a lick - I told him to pull the other leg - but he said it was true.

So was it - anyone else see this 10-legged machine in action ?

If it is the right one I'm thinking of, then it belongs to Olympic Cycles and you can rent it if you are brave enough. It weighs a ton though and the brakes make stopping it interesting. Not sure how you go down Chappies on that monster without ending up in the ocean.

Yup, I passed it, I think somewhere between Fishhoek and Simonstown?  Not sure.  My short term memory is legendary for being Dorrie-like.

Yes, I saw this machine, albeit starionary. Must have been somewhere between Kalk Bay and Fish Hoek. Orange or reddish if I recall.

A bit before Chappies there were supporters playing Eye of the Tiger, when I heard it 2nd time round I asked if that was all they play and they said yes. Imagine listening to that all day.

It was the braking aspect that made me suspicious of his claim - well that and co-ordinating five people to lean safely together on the bends without intercom - lol

With an average weight of, say, 75kgs per rider, plus the bike, what sort of hectic brake pads do you need to stop a train like that  :w00t:  ?

That might cause family trauma in my house

Don't you just love the kid happily picking her nose at the back - presumably cos Mom and Dad can't see her  :whistling: ......

I saw it at the transport company tent on Friday. It had fat bike tyres on ....

It had a set of BIG disks and calipers that looked like they came off a motorbike, we even commented on it at the time.

Eish !

There's a company in Oregon USA that specialises in making these 'things'.

PLEASE don't let them export to SA
