RIP Dolf may your soul rest in peace.

Condolences to his family and friends during this time.

Just y-day whilst riding I was thinking about all these marshals, medical staff and Bikers who offer up their time for us and now I read about this.

Sad day for cycling.

RIP Dolf! Condolences to your nearest and dearest!

Massive respect to the rest of the Marshall team who still went out to keep us safe, knowing that they had just lost one of their closest mates and colleagues! You guys and gals are legends and any cyclists giving you grief at events should feel utterly ashamed! The overwhelming majority of us really appreciate you!

RIP Dolf.

A colleague of mine knew him well, they were riding friends and went to the same church.

Apparently he misjudged a corner on his way to the start.

These guys do an amazing job and it really angers me when I see cyclists arguing with them during races. I saw one idiot cyclist arguing with and pushing one of the bike marshals during the race  at the West Coast Express last week.

These guys are trying to keep us safe.

After many years of Think Bike marshalling the cyclists in the Western Cape, we have today sadly lost one of our own.

Dolf was killed this morning enroute to the One Tonner to marshal the event

One of our very first marshals in the Western Cape, Dolf was always one to rely on when marshals were required

We ask that you take a moment to pray for support and guidance for his family, fellow marshals and friends

On behalf of the Western Cape Think Bike marshals

This is really sad, RIP Dolf.
