This is your attempt of baiting.. just go sit in the corner[emoji6]

No! Ok, I deserve that.

Asking in all seriaasness. He decided to compete at a world event in a decipline that wasn't his bread-and-butter, even though he has been an xco rider before. Maybe he would've been better with proper equipment. Maybe he made the wrong choice, and would've been certain of medalling at the road race

No there will be no regrets.. Sagan loves mtbing he wanted to do the xco in London already..

He had bad luck out there today..was looking really good.. but hey equipment choice can be a bugger.. also part of the game..

That's how it goes in xco.

Fair point but road cycling is much less certain than XCO. You don't get the same three people winning every race for years and years in Road Cycling. He might have podiumed in the road race but we will never know.

Not sure about equipment choices. I assume he had experts assisting him.

Yip..bad luck..

Same can be said for Fontana.. he was also looking really good and he also had a flat.. just bad luck or perhaps tyre pressure wasn't quite right.. we will never know.. but is was damn fun to watch Sags move up the field faster than Bolt and ride with the great xco riders.[emoji106]

Nah, I don't reckon eh. I think he was just extremely unlucky. 2 punctures and some other mechanical problem. I you puncture in the wrong spot, your race is over. Probably could have done with some sealant, but then hardly anyone does in XCO

OK, so that was 5 mins of extreme excitement and optimism followed by what I thought might happen. Nino is just too good at the moment. Maybe Peter is too heavy to ride a Specialised. Sigh. Obviously only designed for proper racing snakes...

Ja I must admit.. I am a big Nino fan and not taking anything away from his incredible win, but it kind of went flat for me after Sagan's flat and so many other guys that were going well having flats..

It was just business as usual for Nino
