Hahaha!

This week has been difficult again, compared to last week.

I was on the brink last night to do indoor riding... my flat mate actually told me "just use my trainer" ..he didn't know I have one of my own. I just cant get myself to do indoor training of any sorts.

I got poured on properly on Wednesday on my ride from work. It was difficult to see where I was going actually. And my brakes didn't work as good (road bike). This morning I braved it in with a swimming cap under my helmet. I didn't want my hair to be soaking again as I am feeling a bit of a snotty nose, scratchy throat and drip starting. I think it is of riding and running in the rain the last week /weekends. This morning was a nice ride though.

Have to say, the sunrises are beautiful the last week or so. Hard to believe soon I will be commuting in full lit skies again.

Spy shot of Hayley commuting...

This has been a pretty full on week.

Work has been insane. First few weeks at a company are never easy.

Then, was accepted by Massey to study the Bsc Psych. Received the first few modules worth of content. This is definately NOT going to be a UNISA style degree. It's got me a little nervous actually. I am going to have to dig deep to make it to graduation. Real deep. I suppose that's what I wanted, a challenge.

I must admit, the continuous dreary weather, in combination with being pretty busy at work, and injuring myself slightly so that I haven't been able to exercise properly this week, has gotten me a bit down. It has prompted me to research winter holidays on South Pacific islands, and for sure I will be spending some time on a sunny beach come next July.

Maybe we can give each other pep talks every now and then, similar boat:

Started work here on 1 May, doing 11 hours a day to make my mark, and trying to work on my MsC (really have to get it done this year).

So after heeding the advice given here, I decided to go for a ride yesterday during the rain (with unapproving stares from my wife).

So glad I did, and I even got to witness this scene.

One of my top 3 favorite things in life is so go on such solo adventures here (yes even if the rain might fall at times too). There are endless amount of roads each with their own breathtaking views and I find myself every time a bit more.

I didn't get to do one this weekend and this morning I can say I feel a bit 'robbed' from something that my soul needs. Although a rode my bike a bit this weekend, THAT is the main reason I ride, to explore.

Looking forward to this weekend to ride with you all....... hope the weather for Sunday isn't as predicted currently though!

Weather not looking good for this weekend folks.

Should we see what it says on Thursday and re-schedule if needed?
