Earning Vitality points If the event you have completed is one of the selected events that is timed by one of our timing partners, and you have given us consent to collect your data, your points will be automatically awarded. If not, you will need to claim your points within the same calendar year of the event:

 

Log into www.discovery.co.za and click on ‘Vitality’, then ‘Gym and fitness’.  Select ‘Claim points for outdoor sporting events’.

 

 Choose the event and fill in your race number, finishing time and other details.

 Follow the instructions to claim your points for the race.

 Points and cash back will be awarded automatically after you complete the online form and we can verify that you have completed the event.

They have just confirmed the R182.50 they paid me today is for Cape Town Cycle Tour, R430 discounted at 25% - and Emperors Palace Classic discounted at 50%. But I want to know where the rest of my races, such as all the MTB events were. Grr.

For all the whinging above, I have already received about half my membership fees in cash back...  And enjoying the weekend club 100 training rides when I can as well.

 

The roll out / communication was disjointed - but the value proposition is there and is solid.  I'm glad they rushed it to market as I have benefited directly while they get their s... together...  I was not expecting to get cash back for the Argus since I joined team vitality months after I entered, but the cash is sitting in my bank account nonetheless...

Ja I have now received close to R400 back, that plus the shirt which is great quality, and the CSA licence makes it a good deal. Will join again next year unless they change the t&c drastically.

I am accidently in the market for a club, emailed Club 100 and apparently the deal between Club 100 and Team Vitality was teminated. They are now two seperate clubs.

Just thought I would mention it.

yes I heard this as well. and according to a mate of mine who is in Club 100, it went messy fast. Vitality going it on their own sounds like a much better option.

how can it be 3 events,  below is from the website

 

You can earn up to 50% cash back on the pre-race registration fees up to a maximum spend of R3 000 each quarter, and up to R12 000 in a calendar year. This means you can earn up to R1 500 cash back (50% of R3 000) in a quarter, and up to R6 000 a year. To qualify for cash backs on race registration fees, please take note of the following:

• The event must be one of the selected, timed events on the Team Vitality race calendar that qualifies for either a 25% cash back or a 50% cash back.
• You must have completed the event.
• You must be a Team Vitality member at the time the cash back is awarded.
• You will get up to either 25% or 50% cash back on the pre-race registration fee only (the cash back does not apply to the additional fee if you register late or to T-shirts, promotional items, donations, temp licenses, etc.).

when you look at the events that actually qualify that is 3 a quarter,  for the rest of this year 2 mountain bike races in gauteng qualify
