How did you get an entry for "Heels on wheels"...?    :whistling:

Yeah, I'll be joining now, so that I can claim entries back for 99er and the rest of the Jan and Feb races in the run up to the August, errr CTCT!

To be fair, we do have 4 lady Pure Savage riders, with two of them entered for Heels on wheels...

  • 2 weeks later...

Does anyone know whether joining now will incur a new joining fee in January, or whether there is some sort of pro rata fee system for joining this late in the year, or a date that rolls the membership over into the following year? All the literature suggests it as a calender year membership only.

Just called Vitality now. That special is only applicable to running. You have to wait till next year for cycling.

The website says different. I logged in and it said something to the effect of getting the rest of 2015 free!

(I joined both running and cycling.)

I got a free smoothie at Kaui, only problem is i need 1500 points a week to reach my goal and cycling gets zero points and gym 150 per event per day, and only 7 days in a week.

That sounds like an error, Savage. We've been told that the soft cap will be 1,200 points per week. At the moment, it's impossible to get 1,500 points per week unless you do a Park Run on Saturday and another 5 sessions (with heart rate) from Sunday to Thursday. 7 workouts a week gets you 1,400 points IF you use a HR monitor, and are at avg 70% of HRR for 30 minutes.

EDIT: If you're with STRAVA, link your Vitality Awards app thing (update the Discovery App, then Vitality, then Devices & Apps, Link a device or app) and you'll get 200 points per ride for working out and "uploading using a device"

I also got a free smoothie and you can only get points for 1 activity a day, so can't gym twice.. or run in the morning then gym in the evening!!
