Discovery Health - Vitality & Team Vitality plus everything else you need to know

Received R215 cash back for Team Vitality yesterday - 1/2 payments I was expecting back.

I'm guessing it could be for the 947, as I remember it was R430 for the entry.

I need to go through my statements to find the Amashova cost.

edit: Amashova was R390, for me. I don't do early bird entries.

LUCKY YOU!

I still haven't received a single Team Vitality cashback, despite numerous queries, supplying of the relevant event info and various undertakings that payment would be made.

Loyal customer but Vitality is starting to test my loyalty.

No idea, Savage. It's part of the benefits on the Disco site. Will ask for feedback.

I have also asked on tweeter. Just got two mails from both parties saying opposite things.

No, unlucky you.

They've paid me all but one event - the Amashova. I was hoping to get full payment before renewing (and taking up the shoe booster), but then I miss out of two events in Jan/Feb.

Anyone know the deal with Uber 25% discount and disco?

Uber says the promo ended discovery says its still going...

Yes.

It is a disco reward, not an uber promotion. 25% cash back but subject to a maximum of R200 a month. The cash back comes from Uber BV.

Spoke to someone at the Discovery store in Sea Point and they said they are still trying to decide on the qualifying criteria and therefore haven't rolled out the high performance test yet. Confusing given that the qualifying criteria has been published on the website

I was also told that you have to do the regular fitness test first to see if you have the fitness level to qualify for the high performance test.

All quite contradictory to what I have read!

My guess is that 'someone' at Discovery Store Sea Point don't know what they're talking about. The high performance PDF on the website is pretty clear.

To qualify you must either do the regular fitness test and score 5/5 and then pay again to do the high performance one... Or prove that you have completed a race in less than the specified times, and score all the points for the regular one without paying for it, and jump straight to the high performance one.

My bio at the gym also said she would be able to do the high performance if I wanted to, having scored 5/5 and she knows that I meet the criteria for it.

At this point in time I don't need the points but told her would be back to do it if I did.

You may have to log a query, even though they have admitted it's a problem receiving info from their "partner operations".

ok so I received my cash back from using my card, and my miles but nothing from vitality for the events. Have logged a query now so will let you know once I get feedback.

Its actually a total of 40% - 25% from the uber promo with disco and 15% back on your card.

For the fitness assessment what is the max points? I only got 2500? And i achieved all bonus points except 1? Surely this is not right?

Just checked and nope, was suppose to get 5000. So again 100 emails I guess......

Yep, you got shafted, I never got all the bonus points (shoulder rotation let me down) but still scored 5000 points.

Check your bank statement (where the cash back is paid into) from November and December. If you haven't received for Amashova, CCMNC and 947 then best you specify these events otherwise you'll be going back again after the next payment cycle. I can't remember the cost of the Amashova, but the other two cash back events should pay R150 (CCMNC) and R215 (947).

all cash back is paid into my Disco credit card. have listed all 3 events on the query to them. Amashova was around R360 I think.

Standard reply from them...

""Dear Mr

Thank you for your query sent to us via the Discovery website.

Kindly note that there is an issue regarding these races and the cash backs due for them.

This is currently being investigated by our systems department.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.""

i entered close to the closing date... was R390 for Amashova. I know they had lower amounts for early entries. Not sure what Disco will pay back.

Hey Ratty,

there is a box that has been added to the form to say you are preggers.

My wife ticked that and they did not weigh her or do the waist.

They fixed that from 2016.

No way,  they did ask me if I was pregnant, but still did all the tests.  Did they do her cholesterol?  I never even knew it was supposed to be higher when you are pregnant until the nurse told me.  Even googled it afterwards.

I just got a call from Disco stating it could take up to a month to process payments as there is an issue with Racetec confirming participation. (but don't worry, we did allocate the points)
