Sometimes it does lag a bit, and I have no idea why. Last week, it resulted in me missing my goal. It took a workout from the 3rd and then the 5th, but not my Friday night walk on the 4th...

If you have done the gym visit or strava workout etc and it does not show which then results in you not meeting your target for the week contact vitality. Take a screen grab that shows the workout and explain the situation to them and that you will accept a smoothie/coffee voucher via email.

Completely unacceptable to let them pass it off. I found sending them a PM on their vitality FB page is the quickest way to get a response.

heh... I know. I've been mailing them on behalf of my clients left right and centre.

They're inundated with requests and STUPID questions, that would be far better answered with just a phonecall to the brokers. But not all brokers are willing to entertain and / or train their clients on the finer points of Vitality.

It seems like strava is uploading my workouts all as 0,1minutes.

On Endomondo en run keeper it shows the correct times - and even after I did the workout I checked my heart rate graph and all and the times where right - now all of a sudden all my strava workouts are just showing 0,1 minutes (I've downloaded the GPS file and uploaded to Endomondo as a test - then all of a sudden the time is right again - if I upload back to strava it's turns it back to 0,1 minute)

Yip, this weeks things were pretty random with the app. On wednesday I got a bunch of bonus points for an idt ride, only to have them taken away on Friday. Then I was shnaaid out of a gym visit, which has left me 50 points short of this weeks goal. In previous weeks I have called them, and they have corrected and given me points that were not reflecting. But, for a smoothie I just do not wanna carry on dealing with a call centre.

Anyway, its clear that there are still some staff at Discovery who do not fully understand VAR yet themselves, as in my interactions with the call centre I have had to point out to them that I still get allocated all fitness points for VAR even though I am maxed out on fitness points.

I personally am going to stay away from the Apple watch until all the gremlins are sorted. Its one thing not to get a smoothie you have earned, but entirely another to have your credit card debited for an installment on a "free" watch.

Ya, all my extra points I see have disappeared and missed by 50 this week as I took yesterday as a rest day

Yet today after a 17km run have been awarded a bunch of additional points, 350 in total (which I susspect will disappeared at some point)

Gremlins in the system it seems

OK... sorry for keeping on pushing this issue but I need help

This is where I am at...

- Endomondo : allows me to edit the workout to add the KM I did on the treadmill - but doesnt link to apple health app / vitality

- Strava links to vitality and apple health, but doesn't let me edit the distances

also it changed a 52 minute workout to 0.1min (unedited info) as well as a 40minute workout to 5min... (when uploading .gpx files)

- Runkeeper doesnt want to link to my apple health app...

How do I now still get my discovery points...?

- If I use strava and my km dont show - do I still get points @ vitality?

Do they just look a heart rate and time and not the distance?

(also I am not a premium member and can't see my heart data appart fomr avg..?)

Did some more reading. Seems like I'll just have to bite the bullet and invest in a foot pod - it's just the simplest solution ... Just sad they look so clumsy...

Cannot help you on Endomondo or runkeeper.

Vitality points work on HRM irrespective of distance, you can cycle 40kms in an hour or run 10kms, vitality does not look at distance but at intensity of heart rate for any workout over 30mins, so would not worry about distance for the vitality points.

But understand your frustration with the apps changing the distance/time recorded.  Have you switched the gps off on the phone or set it for indoor use (as you said previously you use a phone).  This may be a possibility why things are changing... is all I can think of, but grasping at straws a bit as not had this issue.  Whatever my garmin records is what is synced to strava (I have to set my garmin for indoor use when on the treadmill).  You may have to do some google search of that issue.

As for footpod, some of them are huge, I have the addidas one http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2014/01/bluetooth-micoach-footpod.html which is pretty small, no bigger than the top part of my thumb up to the knuckle.  I don't even notice it on my shoe.  I picked mine up off gumtree for next to nothing.

- I've decided to go all in with Strava - and will feedback how it goes (My morning workout was wasted as my Tickr decided to have a flat battery)

I am busy getting highly annoyed with vitality.

Each week there is some kind of problem with my points on the active rewards program.

I opened yet another query regarding missing points on Friday which still hasn't been resolved.

When I followed up on it this morning I was told that they are experiencing system issues.

Same answer that I get each week.

So if you got the apple watch on the program. I hope the service you get is a lot better that the service I am currently receiving.
