Jeepers Jaco, where have you been!?

Completely changed for 2016. Intensity and / or distance & speed based now. Up to 3,000 points for a single exercise.

Read the thread, with particular attention to mine and Geraldm24's posts, or lemme know if you want my guide for a small fee of your choosing, and I'll mail you the details.

Well this is great news! I actually live the "vitality lifestyle" as much I can. All my stuff are with them from insurance through to life cover.

Just wish they can up the max fitness points you can earn per year

I see the 2016 update...you could get up to 100 % discount on gym fees..." If the gym contract is older than 12 months"

think the 12 months thing is only for the reduction from 80% discount to 75%

You can save up to 100% on your monthly gym fees based on the number of Vitality Active Rewards goals you achieve in a particular month. The base gym saving is changed to 75% for all principal and spouse memberships, unless a member is within their first 12 months of a new contract. Achieve four goals in a month to get 100% off your Virgin Active and Planet Fitness gym fees. The extra saving is paid to you as cash back.

Try reading the website, the max points has been increased.

Am surprised for one who lives the vitality lifestyle that you seem to have done very little reading of the new points system.

^^ this.

I still want confirmation on how the Premier membership is treated, though. Whether it's also an up to 25% reduction as well (so that the discount is effectively 85% vs the base 60%) or another way of doing it.

They have.

Max fitness points is now 30,000 (from 15,000) and the assessments no longer make up part of the limit.

I continue to experience frustration. Last week,I was credited with only 2 gym visits. 2 rides did not yield points. 75km yesterday earned me zero.

On the plus side, a (male) mate of mine rode on news years day, and got points for a pap smear

It's only the 4th of Jan! Still on holiday. The old system served me well so would not care much if it stayed the same to be honest

I got my 3000 for a piddly 2 hour ride this morning, thanks disco. I do have one question. This afternoon I'll do a 10km walk. Will I earn points for that?

Nope. Only first one counts towards points

If I'm not mistaken you can only earn points for 1 activity/day. (You'll get points for the one with the highest.
