And in a nutshell exactly what many of us have been saying......so would it be fair to say that Henley's theory is a bit flawed at this stage or must we all agree to simply keep the peace ?

Perhaps.......Henley should never have implied that we are.......stupid....

I am not sure we can simply dispell anything without solid fact.

My post is based on how I "feel", and no concrete evidence. For all we know I might feel good, but it could be a very ineffeciant way of getting to the top :)

Which in this case and at this stage only proves that none of us have proven anything yet .....thus me mentioning he who is not to be mentioned.....my logic is that someone who rode Attakwas on a rigid singlespeed and still finished under 7 hours........should be able to give some good input......all in all a great topic till now.....

LOL

I've done my bit for now, my recommendation is that you get on your bike and do your own high intensity efforts, we need more victims to feed into Henleys databank.

Jou beurt kollega ;)

Sometimes I just ask myself WHY? *smk*

No hard feeling on my side Small Fry.....it all happened when I mentioned he who shall not be mentioned....seems he is still that Achilles heel for Swiss....people can't really expect me or anyone else to simply agree upon theories when we really don't......

Actually i thought we had moved past that and was appreciating our discussions until you made this post, but then i suppose you will claim i'm reading it wrong....

And now you act all innocent, like you have not been trolling and hoping that i would not shut up and comment....you know me well it seems

Noted......but please we need more of your incredible knowledge and input.......

No worries BH, I'll FO the thread and leave it in your good hands, bowing to your superior knowledge and experience as i exit.

As I said......I have no hard feelings......my reference to your incredible knowledge was in reference to me cycling with BoB......Natal and Gauteng are quite far apart......and I have a healthy fear for Chainsaw......who wouldn't with a name like that.......

Experience is a great way to get a good sense of a theory and obviously inputs need to be considered, but without data it's just an opinion like mine :)

Even if God did the TdF in 1 day, without the actual data we cannot conclusively make substantiated statements.

Very much like the opening post.......and when a few hubbers came with different theories and opinions......we were being called arrogant and stupid.....so at least we are all on the same page

So let's see this as an opportunity to test some theories?

I cannot theorise for I have never put the hammer down.

But being a bit bigger boned, if I stand on anything more than about 5% I am dead in about 30s. You skinny guys make me sad.

TL:DR the thread, did someone figure out if there is free energy I can use up Hellshoogte on Sunday? Only need it for 7 minutes.

The only free energy I can think of is by using sticky bottles!
