I'm basically the same.  Been doing lots of weight training, and the watts are up a bit but the scale is not budging.

Muscle mass

If you want to lose weight while doing weight training, eat less protein

So I guess heavier and stronger or lighter and weaker in general terms  :)

I do not want to spark another power to mass ratio thread (So what I really mean is the effort required to hoist your 15kg mountain bike above your head when you celebrate your finish as opposed to winning the KOM)

20Kg in 3 months ??

Has this been sustainable ? Doesn't sound too healthy to me...

I could agree that is maybe not the healthiest but at the same time i never starved i ate all i could was very active and never felt tired or anything like that if i  felt that it was in anyway harming me i would of quit.  If you read tim noakes book there are many case studies like this i quit all sugars completely in coffees, tea, sweets and choclates i now only have banting choclate cakes or diabetic choclates that are made with suitable sweeteners. There is also another book thats called low carb is lekker and that was also a great help the cordials, cakes ,breads etc are all relatively easy to make and alot of it actually tastes brilliant. My weight has been very sustainable i have stayed at 74 now for quite a while. I do believe that we should eat like caveman ,  processed food has'nt been around long enough for our bodys to be able to deal with and process it correctly hence all the ailments, obese people and just plan unhealthyness. We ate vegetables, meat etc for thousands of years if we had sugar we would of found a bee hive for instance then we would eat as much honey as possible because we couldnt store it as we can today. I believe this  and i have this problem Myself  that sugar just makes you want more and more and more sugar,  Because sugar is a luxury in nature  when it is found it is eaten until all is finished because they wouldnt know where the next sugar was coming from you couldnt just stop in at the shop and buy another choclate. They add sugar to everything these days and just equal it all out with salts but the sugar just makes you want more and more and more

We all know that a good healthy eating plan used in conjunction with a 20 - 30 min exercise routine will help you loose weight...

But...yes there is a but...without motivation and commitment all the eating plans and exercise routines are useless...its actually getting off the couch and motivating yourself to do it that counts...the fact that you are reading this thread means you are heading in the right direction...my question...what has motivated you to get to this point???

A scaring visit to the er...

A scary image seen in a mirror...

Concern for your health when looking at smaller versions of yourself playing out side on the grass...

Your legs bumping on your gut as you pedal...

A family member in ICU after a heart bypass...

Or something as simple as i want to get faster so let me get lighter and fuel my body correctly...

As I said. Stupid calculation. IMO a BMI of 25 is bordering on anorexic.

P iss off bro - I am NOT anorexic as Eddy will verify and I am under 25. ... ;)

Unfortunately spending the weekend at cathedral peak with free food. .. and a wedding... and cool weather... rainy so to speak..

Last weekend of pigging out for me. I think I've put on 3kg'. As I mentioned earlier. I'm using this to see how much I put on with disgusting diet and increased boozing alone. I've done lots of long walks and hikes. Also mtb and road rides.

*Oh, I also did three +1km swims.
