You been hiding under a rock?  A simple google would have told you that for the last couple of weeks the majority of the popular addons have been shut down due to legal threat with regard to illegal streaming.  TV Addons which looks after Exodus has been especially targeted.

In fact if you only looked a page or 2 back you would have seen this info as well as ways of getting around this

Here more info http://www.wirelesshack.org/list-of-kodi-addons-that-have-shut-down-june-2017.html

Yes to the rock.

I started looking back in this thread but with 30 pages of unread items I was honestly just too lazy.

My current setup running 16 still works so I am staying put.

Can't get IsreaLive to work for some reason. Did manage yo find an alternative with Zem though. Watched the Springbok game so happy

Israelive has also been under attack and has re-morphed as GlobeTV... many of the channels have been removed, so is much reduced.

Am still watching most of my sport through the SportsDevil addon.

ta...

Think at times i battle to map the TV channel back to which add on it will be on.

like ITV, which add on is that one?

you say you use Zem, I got it installed, haven't used it yet, please explain.

I am not in front of my TV now but here goes... Under the Zem addon, there is a Sport icon and under that there should be a TV UK or something like that. In there are are few UK TV channels but like I said earlier, not all of them are working. We watch a fair amount of Channel 4, More 4, Dave, Quest, BBC and ITV. Not been having too much luck lately though...

Will have a look for GlobeTV thanks. Zem has a few options like MamaHD and 365live. Watched the Boks on Saturday with MamaHD.

Is anyone else really battling to stream things at the moment? Seems like neither Exodus or Spekto is finding streams for movies or series I want to watch?

Running Kodi 16.1....often find a list of streams and then when I try select one it just cycles through all of them without playing?

I went and pulled out my Jolly Roger the other night and have resorted back to Torrents...  At least I know I can watch an episode/series/movie without any buffering not to mention the chances of not finding any streams at all.

Just need to get a VPN up and running now

The beginning of the end by the looks of things.... They will never stomp it out completely but they will make it harder for Joe Public to get and by that will drive people back to cable/satellite pay services.

Will either go the same way as torrents which they tried to shut down like pirate bay etc... but the more they do the more alternatives will become available

Else you will end up doing a paid services line NTV https://ntv.mx/ or FilmonTV which is still cheaper than DSTV.

Or you will VPN to legit players like ITVPlayer and BBCPlayer or Eurosport

It is till early days... and at the moment am using Kodi and Modbro and still watching all that I want to watch.

Will wait for the dust to settle... I have been running xbmc/kodi for 3 years, so don't think it will change... dev's will just get more creative

the problem is they are going about it wrong...each little franchise is trying to hold onto their own little empire....hbo...showtime....amc....etc etc etc

people want to stream now - they dont want cable. On demand streaming is what its about...movie by movie and series by series

instead of trying to cut the illegal source off at the knees they should be making content available at affordable rates to make illegal sources a non-entity

Like what DSTV did with Showmax?

and that's the real crux of the issue

affordability to watch what i want when i want..

amazon($9), Netflix ($8) showtime(R99), BBC..it all starts adding up,

then you still need your internet connection and maybe a VPN to get the US/UK channels

If there was a player/stream where I could watch any series/Movie on any network at anytime for less than R200/m that would be acceptable, and I'd go that route.

I'm guessing all things go well we're expecting TdF via Eurosport 1 (link 2), any other backup feeds, other than Turks, just in case?

Curious, via what do you watch F1, MotoGP and Superbikes.

G

MotoGP is on BTSport. I find it through Sportsdevil, LSHunter, Motorsport

i chose today to upgrade kodi...had to go through multiple hoops to get exodus back

All the links/sites that I would have got from the fusion.tvaddons.ag are no longer working for me... so that's Exodus, Sportdevil, and a few others.

Luckily the Specto GUI is the same as Exodus, so the wife doesn't have to learn a new way to find movies.

For me, worst case is subscribing to Getflix and Hulu (via the Roku3).

episode based streaming is ok. Amazon streams episodes for about $2 a pop  so if you watching 5 series a week - thats about $40 a month...still too much and also only linked to a few providers. there really is no real solution at the moment.
