Kodi on my RPi still working well. Streaming/Downloading from SportsDevil/Specto.

Biding my time until FTTH is available (they're currently digging trenches in my area).

I have a Roku3 which gets me onto Hulu and a few others for $7.99/month via the UK. It works OK on a 2mbps line but then buffers as soon as a second device is connected.

Hulu is terrible in SA, even on my 20mb line, its because they dont have a local CDN though.

I installed placenta with blamo repo on kodi last night.Works well no issues

So I installed placenta, and have found it much better than exodus etc. However, I'm still getting terrible buffering (on a 10 Mbps fibre line via the wi-fi). Is upgrading to a 20 Mbps line going to solve this, or is there another fix, since I would've thought 10 would be more than fast enough?

I run on a 8mbps line.Mygica streaming device is connected on wi fi.When i start a series or movie i let it buffer for about 5mins before watching, after that it runs without buffering.Maybe test the wifi signal and check for interference walls electronics etc.

on a 10mbps line you shouldn't get buffering... are you getting your 10mbps ?

have you tried running it through a cable?

if you have and are the problem might not be on your side.. remember these streaming sites don't always have the best servers etc...

I myself got gatvol of always trying to keep up to date with all the various repos, going down , the constant buffering, streams not available etc, and went back to having a dedicated media server that handles my series and movies, keeps me up to date, and is fairly self managed.. and most importantly less irritated..

The buffering will be a source issue. This is why we got fed up with Kodi.

If you running RD then you need a minimum of 20mb for HD audio. I have noticed though that many of the streams nowadays have pcm and play flawlessly

. Using Exodus and Arctic Zephyr skin. Works like a charm. The only niggly issue I have is sometimes daily I have to restart kodi. When ever I start a RD stream it starts with that circle rendering but goes away after a sec without the episode starting.it does that in any RD stream. If I try a normal stream it works. Have to restart to work with RD. Reinstalled everything except windows. I suspect a problem with url resolver. Nonetheless, love my kodi and haven't downloaded in months [emoji41]

Yes, just set it up in your URL resolver settings once you have an account

I think I'm going to have to go this route. Not finding any streams that actually work without buffering, even in SD, is driving me bonkers.

Some shows I try and watch all week, spend 15 - 20 minutes trying to get the thing to stream and then just give up, then, all of a sudden one day it stream just fine.

Cool, thanks. I saw the set-ups from Seo-Michael and Peter Carcione. Going to give it a try, the buffering is also driving me nuts
