Been through every well known brand out there, and only two stand out: Maxxis(Ikon/Ardent) and WTB. (Wolverine/Weirwolf)

Save yourself the heartache on any of the other brands. Durability comes first

Waiting for Maxxis Ardent (front) and Crossmark (rear) to arrive :-) Have run Larssen TTs for years and loved those. Started riding trail with proper hooligans. Went looking for a bit more "poor man's 4x4" for my 26" HT. Tried Conti Trail King (front) and LOVED the way it rides (tractor-like). But the bugger came undone at the beading 150km max later, on my 3rd trail ride. Apparently at 2.5 bar I was running it too low. End of. So, Maxxis past, present and probably future.

I currently have Continental X-King (Pioneer edition) on my 29'er.

They don't appear to like holding air inside for long.

Will try Maxxis next time. I had them on my previous bike, and they worked MUCH better.

Currently run a onza canis up front. Can't fault it but spez ground control is by far the best front tire I have ever used

Currently Brazo at back. Fitted it at W2W since there was no other option and it was urgent. Also can't fault it. Will put an ikon at back next time around

Recently changed from Continental x-king to Onza canis and got my first sidewall cut after only 50km....replacing it again with onza canis...give it one more chance.

Fun bike has WTB Vigilante up front and a Trail boss rear...

The fun bike I use for racing has Ardent front and rear.

Just bought some WTB trail boss 2.4's for the 29er fun race bike.

The fun bike still has a few miles before I get something else... Looking at a High Roller II/ Minion combo....
