Seriously? You'd see a Red gruppo for R299 and 1) Think it's legit and 2) Try and buy it?

I once saw "Made in the UK" on Mars bar. Faaark that - I'm calling my lawyer, the CPA, the hubfundis and the Easter Bunny. I demand a Mars bar that was actually made on Mars!!! Rant rant pitchforks, popcorn and royal indignation.

Seriously you wouldnt....its advertised at that price, i would of course buy it, if it arrived... great...if not, i wont go on a rant about it...i would just write it off as school fees, and know that it was too good to be true....

I was just trying to give a compromise that seemed fair...

In regards to your Mars bar story, i dont see the relevance...i think you might have had too many of them ..

The other day I went to CycleLab to buy a pair of gloves. I found the new Giro Zero II ones quite appealing with a price tag of R599, thought stuff it I will treat myself so took it and went to pay.

When I got the the till the lady scanned it and informed me that they were actually on special for R199. I looked on the gloves price tag to see if I didn't miss this new price on the tag somewhere, I didn't, they were clearly marked as R599.

I was outraged and demanded that I pay the full price as indicated!! How dare they charge me a different price to that which was indicated!!

It is obvious, they did this as a ploy to drive sales and traffic up wth false and misleading advertising. Those morons thought they got me, but I showed them!

On Monday the 1 Feb there was an advert on the Cycle Lab On-Line store for a Sram Red Road Kit with an attached picture. Picture showed full drive chain, shifters, rear hub and rims. price was R299.99

I placed an order and paid for the item and received confirmation of order. On Tuesday the 2 Feb I received a call from Cycle Lab On-Line shop to tell me that they were waiting for two pieces of the kit to arrive and the order would probably be dispatched later that day.

Two of my riding friends then each ordered and paid for the same Sram kit on Tuesday. Both of these orders were confirmed.

This morning we all received a call from Cycle Lab On-Line shop to tell us that the kit was actually only the nuts and bolts for a Sram Red kit and not as the picture showed all the components. The picture used in the advert had been incorrectly used to advertise the parts.

Seems like somebody messed up?attachicon.gifSram.png

There, put this on. post-16512-0-45952200-1454648310_thumb.jpeg

You're Welcome.

Actually, there should be a code of conduct about posting stuff for sale online:

Get a price wrong the first time: Four-year ban.

The second time: Life ban. Never allowed to operate a keyboard again. Or work in the cycling industry in any way or form.

Bait marketing is worse than doping.

Every time someone posts an incorrect price online, God breaks off a unicorn's alicorn and stabs a day-old kitten to death with it.
