Got this in the mail:

Dear all customers and friends,

Due to recent changes within the bicycle retail industry, lately as some of you are aware i have been focusing on service and repairs and although i have been busy and blessed with no shortage of work to which i am extremely grateful the sustainability of my business out of a prime retail premises is just not viable. I have been looking to relocate to a more suitable type facility of which has not been forthcoming. I write to all of you this morning with great sadness of my intention to terminate my business with effect from Wednesday February 15th 2016.

I have secured Percu with employ at Revolution Cycles and i have no doubt he will continue with his smile and friendliness and continue to develop his skills to which we will all be proud.

Further i would like to thank all/each and every one of you for your support over the years. 15 years of Action Cycling has been fun , happy and interesting. I wish all of you the best in all aspects pf your life including safe and happy cycling.

Regards
sincerest,
Marco de Nobrega

This is sad. :(

Wow 15 years is a long time to be around in this business so I hope he made the best financial decision and got out before it was too late for him financially(which by his letter it sounds like he did). I've never met him but from previous threads I can say he sounded like a decent guy. Wish him all the best for the future.

these guys were my goto LBS. Generally excellent work from the whole team, Marco, Marc, Devon, Stephan. Fun times with the annual urban rampage for old.

At least Marc Carr has a city center workshop. It's rare finding that bike wrench you can trust implicitly. At least Percu got another job in town.

But end of a chapter, an institution even. Everything of the best wrt to whatever comes next.
