BBB has a nice small one at Sportsman's for R70 I have been using mine 4 about 4 months now...Lots of compliments and some ice cream requests.

mounted mine sort of sideways on the bars at breaklever with the trigger clanger facing up so easy to flick with my thumb

Was wondering how efficient those were... thanks!

If anyone wants bells, I have loads! They are Giant branded but you could easily rub off the markings if you want. Free to whoever collects. Look up 'iRide Africa' in google maps and you'll find us in Mowbray.

Just rock up and look needy and bell-less?

so Headshot ... how long does your loop take you?

My new loop is 22km and has 620m of climbing. Thats about 1.5hrs moving  Mostly off road or gravel verges but sadly not 100% legal...

A problem in the area is pedestrians with head phones in their ears. You can bell them til you blue in the face but they still get a groot skrik when you ride past.

I ended up across the security hut after exiting the Diep River trail at the top - where does the trail go from there?

I turned around and headed back to Lower Tokai

Aah, okay so you did it all. This is the problem with the trail, it ends there. There is no loop and to make one you have to ride illegally. I usually don't ride up it - I take Rhodes drive on the verge to the neck and then hit Die Hell onto Southern Cross and up to the Diep River trailhead.

we use whistles for pedestrian ..... I also find "barking" gets the attention of earphone wearing pedestrians.

There are so many groups ... I can easily stretch it into a much longer ride with 1000m climbing and more fun dh's as a result.

Went to scope out what trails have been opened today and Harry took some photo's of the trails that look beautiful(our own little corner of NZ?) There were no dogs or walkers on the trails, but quite a few bikers, even at 11am!

Thanks to those involved in getting the trails opened and well done to all of you who submitted approvals to the city of Cape Town!- it's a good start and I'm hoping everyone on the trail can act respectfully towards each other so that the more technical trails can be opened up to cyclists in the future.
