PT hub not so interchangeable between road and TT wheels unless you compromise on your deep sections

Power2max from what I can see are not compatible with the likes of shimano 4 bolt, 11spd chainrings as the Type S Road is 5 bolt.  If you run 10spd you will be fine.

Stages or pedal are the best options for interchangeability between road and TT

Just ride deep carbon wheels, always! Life is too short to have training wheels.

You might run 50 on your road bike and 80 or 90 on your TT bike... in which case you have to compromise to use a PT hub

That's going to be a heavy race wheel.

The more I research the available options, the more I like the Stages and 4iiii precision options. Watt teams power beat is also nice.

Of the crank based systems Pioneer looks the nicest. SRM only downfall is the battery replacement that has to be conducted at the factory. But it does have a reliable head unit option as does the

Pioneer.

Everything else seems compromised by Garmin's rubbish garmin express and garmin connect and data drops by the head units.

Only problem with 4iii is you have to ship your crank to them for installation.  The Watteam looks good and a good price, pity they only selling in the US at the moment... so you will need a contact/address there

4iiii also sell the complete crank arm just as Stages does. Also their new firmware was such a big change they dubbed the unit precision 2.0

It improves accuracy but opens up many other metrics in future once head units catch up

Unfortunately omnivore are well known for being useless. Only thing keeping me from buying a stages. The other thread currently on them is helping chose never to use products distributed by them.

That would be doing yourself A disservice. Omnico as you can see is distributor for s lot of brands. On the fox side there's 4 full time mechanics servicing fox and cannondale. Popularity of those brands means that the workshop is always full and turnaround takes up to two weeks.

I've never had a problem with Omnico replacing electronics that failed e. G Blackburn tail light or bike computers. On bike servicing the turn around is unfortunately slow due to volume of work.

The only challenge I see with Stages if you should need parts or warranty is stock. That said none should be having issues with a stages power meter if they keep the jet wash away from it.

Easy solution... employ more people in the workshop!!

It's not so much the wait of 2 weeks. More the , endless issues with warranty replacements, lack of communication and general rubbish after sale service from them that I have an issue with.

One of the main reasons why I suggest PowerTap is that the local agents, BicyclePower Trading, are super cool guys who go the extra mile. Well they did for me on a few occasions! Mike and Dave are the guys there, give them a call, they will give you some good advice on your options.
