Hi

Just want some advise from more experienced riders, i am no racing snake more like a weekend rider.

Just a question is it worth investing in a dropper post, i only do like out rides and the occasional 40km races, but i do stuggle with technical sections due to my height? Everybody says it is but they all talk about enduro rides nothing really about normal cross country riding?

Dropper posts are game changers.

They not only for Enduro riding.

It will give you so much more confidence in your ability that you will want to start enduro racing.

Do it.

Yes, get a grippy front tire and a dropper post, you will soon be smashing everything. I use mine on every downhill, even tar. On a long straight downhill I drop my seat, tuck down and nobody can stay with me. Except if they also have a dropper...

Did my first ride with my new dropper post on Saturday - I'm also a weekend rider, and also tall with long legs that means my saddle must be high to pedal at all comfortably. I can tell after one ride that I will never go back to a fixed seat post. A real difference

It's a game changer . But be warned, once you have a dropper you can never go back to a rigid post. And it will boost your confidence no end. It's the one piece of equipment that really does make a difference . Just do it ????

Like has been said above - do it!!

Put a dropper on my hardtail and dual sus bikes.... and even considering it for the road bike hahaha (ok that would be weird)

Ordered a Lyne dropper post for my XC bike  . My first attempt at a dropper. Let's see if the buzz is all what people make it out to be.

If it will eliminate the OTB events, it's worth the extra weight and $$.

Also keen to understand what travel will work for me. Trying 120mm but hoping 65mm  is enough. Doubt I need anything close to 150mm.

A dropper is a fantastic thing that is well worth it. It's just so lekker to have the seat out the way when hitting the tech stuff and you can move the bike around more easily.

I cant ride without one. Its also cool to just sit low on a flat straight section sometimes, just chilling..lol
