Thanks a lot for all your assistance leading up to these events! I'm looking forward to my first of many Carnival City races and Jhb as a whole. I'm sure it's gonna be fun!

Take your entry form and payment slip with - I think it was your wife that sent them to me yesterday. They just need to allocate the number board to your names.

It gets so busy that at times I miss what happens in the start batches.

 

Between the radio comms, phone calls, WhatsApp messages and trying to meet 'n greet I have to stop what I'm doing and attend to whatever is urgent.

 

Last year the MVA just before the 4-way stop (88km) was priority - keeping the Elite commissaire up to date. Hopefully nothing like that happens this year.

This has been announced at our race for as long as I can remember, or have been involved at the start/finish, and something our marshals are required to shout out on the route if they see people riding 2-3-4 abreast (not in a bunch). Unfortunately, some people don't listen.

No one wants goodie bags anymore. 

Good route, hard racing and well organised event trumps every time.

 

And I save a bunch of $$ over any ASG events with their Hi-Five cant sell stuffed good bags.
