If you don't have your number yet, make sure you get there an hour before hand.  PPA + number collection = long queue.

And for the bigger races they normally have a multi staging area for the chutes i.e you line up in one chute, move to the next and the following group falls in behind you.  So if you cut if fine you'll be pushing through multiple lower groups to get to yours - not fun.

Thanks Dubber. Best I get there early then.

Usually when there is leagues a and b start together. What time do you aim for Dale?

Can't speak on Dale's behalf but my wild guess would be that he aim to finish in roughly the same time as A or B bunch (depending on which one he picks....)

To add to what dubber said - first mtb race of season was Wolseley, field far smaller than One Tonner, I arrived 45minutes before start, made the starting line with seconds to spare after spending the whole time in a bike board pickup queue

Maybe PPA learned their lesson but if not you are going to spend at least an hour in the queue...

Aim:

Top 30 percent of my starting bunch, Breezer.

Top 10 percent of my age cat

See you in the mix?

I also recall the same thing at the first race of the season 4 years ago but I'm giving PPA the benefit of the doubt here dammit.. :whistling:

Unless you know Aaron_B, he is a tough bike rider

If he gets paid to ride with a broken hand, I'm sure he'll do it

I found R10 on my commute this morning - is that enough?

im sure many peeps went to collect number already for last w'ends cancelled race. Also, PPA had registration Wednesday and Thursday this week so i think it shouldn't be too bad. however, play it safe and get there early tho'
