Am I missing some thing ?

Paying R480 pm for 60k cover (55k bike 5k gopro)

Is it because it's A spaz ?

That does seem expensive.

I'm paying R465 for R105k of cover (Scott Spark, Silverback Space and a Garmin).

I have the cheapest insurance ever.... R1 for R50k worth of cover through Kingprice...

And the best part??? One bike on my policy and one bike on my wifes... so that saves me like R400 plus a month. Thank you KP!!!

It is very nice to only pay R1, but what is the claims experience like? I know they have been having issues with a massive backlog on motor claims.

Yeah because we all know that the cheapest is the best!

It helps having two mates working for them. Should there be a claim I think they have enough clout to make sure I am covered.

Not all their policy holders have that privilege though :)

Edit: And besides, if they give you special treatment that is not inline with your schedule, they are at legal risk. Seeing that they are your buddies, you shouldn't put that burden on them.

Read the schedule and wording to make sure you understand the conditions and what is covered or not covered.

Mates can help, but they can't make something that is excluded included just because they're nice...    ;)

Will wait till you have to claim, only then can you say thanks to an insurer.

After R80k in claims through discovery, I can say thank you to them. My premiums are a tad high and the excess is crazy high. But still better off than if I did not have insurance.

Another King price client :)

I studied that policy schedule for days, I even have voice notes lol and I must say, not bad.

You're covered on training rides, races and during transit. If anything goes wrong, they will try and replace with the same spec, if not, pay you the maximum value you insured for.

Proof is in the pudding.

Nobody is able to ride a piece of paper.

I am busy to quote for a youngster that is at KP at the moment, and the umbrella guys is about 40% cheaper, but with a higher excess and requiring more security measure to be in place....KP premiums went through the roof after a few claims.

For interest sakes, my normal insurance broker wanted to increase my premiums by 8.75% for the following year. Told them to get stuffed as whose salary goes up that much these days???So now 4% it is. Moral of the story. DO NOT ACCEPT A QUOTE UNTIL YOU SHOP AROUND OR COMPLAIN.
