"In the hospital waiting for X Ray results. Seeing the results has cheered me up no end especially to see Laurie Greenland just finish 2nd in the World in his first year elite!! It's definitely put a smile on my face since taking this photo

As for me - probable broken collarbone but no other damage. I haven't watched my crash but I think I was lucky to get away with just that and a bit of shock. Will keep you updated.

Not the way I wanted to go out of Worlds but I'll be back!!"

shall we get back to discussing Josh?

I am going to be frank...this is a guy that probably has not looked at a school book since he was 12..nevermind a geography book....sure...he can stand up for what he believes in..but quiting racing is going to make ZERO impact on the the cause he is quitting for. He has a more of a chance of making an impact by continuing racing and highlighting other aspects of global warming (apart from air travel)...heck...h e could plant a tree in his backyard and it would make more impact than him quitting racing.

respect for him went from 100% 2 years ago to 0% today...what a tool

edit - unless he is just taking the piss and needs a year off..who knows

this comment made me laugh though:

"pretty weak excuse to stop racing. The team will have the same carbon footprint with or without Josh. He went full hipster. Never go full hipster."

Yeah, just seen that. Would have thought there'd be a few ribs as well, given how hard she came down.

But Bersselaar's stack at the finish line... WOW. That gave me the chills.

That was sickening ... Some big stacks this weekend. and a speedy recovery to all those riders who bought a plot at Val Di Sole.

So Saturday afternoon I pick up a puncture and cant get my tyre to seal. Limp back to the trail centre between pump stops, rear tyre squirming around, no control ... on a straight piece of flat trail ... How the F%$ck does Loic Bruni ride that whole track with a flat back wheel like that !!! And only a few seconds of the winning time of the woman - with no air in the back tyre !! - MACHINE !!

I can't believe Eliot Jackson was unhurt (according to his instagram account!), considering how hard he hit the deck from that step down!

Wonder if the Spanish dude got as lucky?

Just fwiw, Gwinn already had a puncture before the catastrophic failure we saw. Which is why he was 1.5s off Hart's time. We'll never know what could've been...

but you could say that for every single crash puncture etc etc throughout the day

rumor has it the guys who were mooning the camera sabotaged the course before Gwins run with boulders

[Reply]

Hehehehe - the Pinkbike rumour mill churneth!

I actually saw a pic of that (can't remember of it was on Gwin's run though).. so can confirm

He had his puncture before the first split. So no, bit different from being 3s down and then seeing your arse.
