I see they state no registration on the day. I am going to take my chance and hope they are definitely there. Otherwise "wanted" and myself will be riding without numbers.

First race in AL since my crash in the Fast One in Jan...

...I'm scared. Fitness is about 50% of where it should be.

You'll never know until you try...

Were you riding AL when you had your crash at the Fast One?

Huge crash, left barrier when the sprint started for the finish line?

Yep, I was caught in that. Had to walk to the finish... no major injuries, just the bike that couldn't even be pushed.

Hekpoort climb towards the end utterly dismantled the field. A longer route certainly compounded the carnage too. All in all a great smooth race that made up for the poorly organized parking at the start.

Parking chaos was far worse at the end. One hour-plus to get out ???? Understand this was a last minute change, but hope ASG make a better plan with Maropeng next year.

But, a good, fun race nonetheless! Mostly sensible riding in AL. Great marshaling. Not sure which route I prefer, to be honest…

Good day out, windy and enjoyed the change of route. Started in BL, stayed with the front group until it splintered on the slopes of hekport. Finished just behind the front group. Happy with the my race being the first one since winter.

Parking an issue that needs to be looked at and is only slightly worse than route 66 venue.

Results are up on racetec

Rode this one with the missus. Very pleasant ride.

A lady had a fall at the 60km turnaround point. We were the first on the scene. Marshalls were there very quickly and an ambulance was called.

The wife did a quick check to see whether it was serious but it didn't look like she'd have more than a concussion and a very, very sore body tonight.
