Did I see a little fist-pump from Quintana when he crossed the line? Wonder if that was: "managed to hang in there after my crash" or "I'm still in the GC hunt after sneaking some bonus seconds"? or a.n.other?

Nairo and his driver are both tossers. Eish, some hectic crashes yesterday. Glad noone was horribly hurt but hope the gnome has some serious road rash after that sprint move.

over and above the bruised ego...

Today is build to break even the strongest... this will be a good indication about who is really on form and who has been hiding in the bunch.

It's gonna be an eventful week 3

Wonder whether Nibs is planning an assault somewhere

His palmarès speaks for itself

Nibs is already cooked, unless he gets some fresh blood today.  :whistling:

Was about to say - depends when his doctor arrives with the O2 enriched red bags...

He may be a good rider still but should rather devote himself to super domestic duties. Think his carreer as a GT winner is over - maybe he can start coaching a youngster to be a new leader and winner of tours.

The only "easy" stage left is the last stage and it could be the most crucial

No wonder the sprinters all made a dash for the airport..[emoji33]

While the teams rest, do yoga, sip on espresso and go for steady 3 hr rides, this is tomorrow's stage profile:

Tommy D in the front with dominance

Quintana and Nibs tend to improve in the 3rd week of Grand Tours

Half the climbing ascent due in the 3rd week

Lots of tarmac to Milan  :w00t:
