Same old, same old... name and shame.

Same old, same old... Buyer beware. Don't buy anything that you can't inspect and if you do buy from a distance be prepared and happy to get a shock / lose that money if need be. Guy is trying to sort it - So that is plus. I guess.

*** service, photos and description initially but your money has / is being covered and hopefully he'll get the rest fixed up for you so you can put the disappointment behind you and you can get riding. Not really what's expected from a shop (or is he just a dealer?) and that is a list of issues.

Just a q: do you brake with your middle finger? Was just trying to work out how you squish your fingers behind the lever.

Then...

fix it, clean it, ride it and be happy

That is the plan yes....just remember, It's not worth R65k as is.

Tired of typing with one finger...bwahahaha...that's funny...but ja, terrible service and I would be name and shame...someone must be held accountable for this.

Should have put it back in the box and sent it back requesting a full refund rather than fixing a mongrel of a bike with mismatching components

I can understand undetectable wear and tear, but tyres that dont stay inflated, wrong adapters and stuffed brakes. Regardless of the price paid, if this was not disclosed I would demand the shop pay for all the parts and pay for the labour.

So glad you opened the box within 6 months!

I have received reimbursement from them which I am happy about. My main problem is still the fact that there's the outstanding hub parts and the fact that the brakes is shot....even after we replaced a disk and pads as well as bled it. I can't afford to pay another R2500 - R3000 on top of what I paid just to be able to stop the bike.

Thats why I said they should pay for the brake refurb and hub parts. If they did not disclose that the bike does not stop, they should have incurred this cost before selling it.

I brake with my index finger so my other 3 fingers get caught between the handlebar and the lever. Sometimes I use my index and middle finger...depending on how close to falling I am.
