Any TDF racing today or it just the Peter Sagan show?

The disciples are spreading the Gospel of Sagan. Anything else is heresy!

This is going to have a huge impact on my Fantasy Tour team considering I had both Sagan and Cav.

New topic: ELBOW 1.0

Poor Maradonna. He only got the hand of GOD, whilst Sagan got the upgraded Elbow. An elbow with such force that it can topple a leading bike rider without ever touching him....

Sagan's elbow comes up, but Cavendish is already on his way into the barriers. Demare keeps pushing into Bouhanni's line.

Demare sits up Bouhanni as he pushes through.

Bouhanni has to tap off to avoid Demare taking out his front wheel.

Now if you look at this GIF below that I've put together, to me it looks like Cav's handlebar actually hits Sagan's forearm in the third frame. You can clearly see Cav's brake hood inside of Sagan's arm. Sagan then has to lift his arm to become untangled, which looks like a violent elbow to the face. Which in my view, it wasn't.

Give this man a bells.

I love your work. That GIF is awesome. You can actually see Sagan's arm deforming as Cav's hood hits him.

Here is the first time the trees block the overview, however from the front you can see Sagan is clearly aiming for Demare's wheel

Coming out from under the tree Sagan is still clearly ahead of Cavendish, but Demare starts to go left again, Sagan still going right.

Cavendish realises that the gap has closed (and that there are spectators hanging over the barriers) and tries to come back inside. Sagan still has no idea that Cavendish is behind him.

Nicely done... I love some good old fashioned steadfast analysis!

This pic says it all for me.

Cav is clearly on Demares wheel before he gets cut off by Sagan.

Not likely intentional, but the result is the same none the less.

This possibly the best piece of commentary to come out of the whole saga..

Current sports director of Silber Pro Cycling, Gord Fraser was a sprinter for Motorola and Mercury-Viatel during his career and also took to Facebook  to share his opinion.

"It's clear that when when Demare launched he'd be the one to beat and Sagan was simply desperate to hitch on. Cav had already gambled up barrier side and had momentum but that half bike length he left behind demare was all the peripheral space Sagan went for. I'm sure PS had zero clue Cav was even there until they made contact and did well to stay upright. Lesson? When you go up the narrow barrier side be prepared for the door to close. Gaviria won taking this risk in the Giro. Sometimes you hit jackpot despite the odds. Unfortunately for Cav it was craps. No foul and certainly no DQ merited. I'd say demare chopping over Bouhani's front wheel was a more conscious and risky move but still within sprinting limitations.

"Here's my beef. Why can't the UCI find some ex pros to take the comms course and insist on one at all times on the race jury? I'm constantly frustrated by officials quoting a rule book with zero practical race experience. A former bunch sprinter on the panel for flat stages and climber for the mountains."

Second time today I get to use this....

Please stop it, its not clever.... and its the type of post that comes back to bite you in the bum one day when YOU want to debate something.

Open debate should be encouraged, not mocked, thats what dictators do.

This picture clearly shows Cavendish trying to squeeze through a gap that wasnt really there. He leans on Sagan. Sagan regains balance by using elbows up. Knees in etc.

I call Sagan not guilty of anything

You make that call from this one pic?............noooooooo
