Patchelicious Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 What? Pulled from the race? Why must he be pulled from the race? No disrespect to anyone but they racing bikes, there is no rule that says you cannot attack at any given time. Yes, unwritten of sorts but that is applied when it suites those involved. Everyone has at some stage broken that and its not uncommon. In general what I find hard to understand is how someones judgement is based on how much they do or don't like a rider. Always look at things neutral with all the facts as if you don't have a tender to like or dislike a rider. Im not defending Aru or condoning what he may of done, I am merely saying what he did was well with in the rules of racing bikes. You cannot throw someone out for racing his bike. Remember when someone was having a pooh during the Giro.....Wasnt a outcry to throw people out then. I think if you read Savages post again, you will see that he was sarcastically saying that if Aru couldnt see Froome, he is as blind as a bat, and because he can't see out of his eye balls he should be pulled from the race. Not that he should be pulled from the race because he attacked Froome, not even the biggest Sky fanboys would say that.
Patchelicious Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Was that not cries of joy? He seemed to think he had won the stage[emoji15]Shame, you must feel for him.

It was most probably a tongue in cheek response?
Long Wheel Base Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Shame, you must feel for him.Not often the guy who wins thinks he came second and goes to his bus and the 2nd place celebrates. Rigo must have been hurting from that 11t power session not to think he had won.

Maybe Savage should put crip notes in his replies for those that have not yet had their Monday morning coffee.
Eugene Oppelt Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Worked all weekend in JoziI am now at km 3 of yesterday's stageRoads look damp

Patchelicious Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Maybe Savage should put crip notes in his replies for those that have not yet had their Monday morning coffee. He is a big Contador fan, and I think yesterday was a decisive moment in his career. So maybe just dealing with that still. As a fan it must be sad to see Contador as a shadow of his old self.
Pah Bear Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Worked all weekend in JoziI am now at km 3 of yesterday's stageRoads look dampI record the whole event and then watch the recording, stopping and pausing as time allow, so ... avoid this chat throughout that period so I don't get any updates. Anyone remember the days of "Delayed Live"? lol
Rocket-Boy Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Was that not cries of joy? He seemed to think he had won the stage[emoji15]Those were tears of joy, he only found out when he was being interviewed that he had not won the stage.
Eugene Oppelt Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Uran had two gear options available 39-11 and 53-11
Pah Bear Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Like the comments made re downhill attacks. With the change in route and the lessor mountain top finishes, many riders (if they as pro as they profess to be) would have been eye balling all possibilities and those downhills obviously made sense. The fact that the AG2R team is based in that town and obviously knew that descent bend in and bend out was a major asset for them and it showed. That whole squad was like hares down that descend.

Yeah, Berto had it all set up with two of his teammates ahead so he could bridge and attack very effectively from that platformHe remarked that 'the legs were not there' End of an era, most likely

He surely can't be missing Val that much?
