How about a pool noodle for bike safety?

hhhahah conceptually viable. Actual implementation... well. ya. But its high time modern cars come with obstacle alerts of at least the audible kind for motorists. cyclist detection and minimum safe distances can be easily programmed into last year's technology. where is this tech in current cars?

 

Wish they had an in-car function that disables the screen of the mobile phone, so you can only take handsfree calls from specific numbers. These days, its damn scary how many cars are gently veering off to one side like the driver just fell asleep. Except, he or she wide awake, but busy texting.

I think Volvo has developed this warning system built into their cars and also a warning built into a helmet (POC helmet) I think. They also developed the glow in the dark spray on paint.

Shoe on the other foot, Was out riding and just pulling away from a robot so we weren't going that fast yet and a oke with one of these small bakkie things(think its a hyundai grand max) comes passed me and he had electrical conduit on the back but at an angle. I obviously didn't see it coming but as he came passed me there was enough room(he didn't drive close to me) and next second this pipe knocks me on the helmet. Its not very strong that stuff so it gave me more of a fright than anything else. I just laughed and thought what a poepal, wonder how many other things he knocked.

Yeah that is true. Was my lucky day then. He was doing electrics that day, Maybe plumbing the following day?
