The topic of frame protection has been discussed more that once on this forum. Some people like the idea, others not so much. It can be seen as an investment in the future resale value of your existing steed or It can be seen as a purchase that adds no value as there are no performance gains.

Some people are looking for a simple solution and some are prepared to go to a little more effort. Some are even prepared to lay down a few strips of insulation or duct tape and call it a day. Others fine alternate methods to get the job done or go balls to the wall and wrap the whole frame

There are a few suppliers out there at varying price points as well as some good DIY ideas.

Basically just looking for some feedback from people that are looking to buy or who have bought and used it.

Whats the difference between a down tube and a seat tube?

Down tube takes all the hits from the stones coming off the front wheel and the seat tube takes all the hits from the stones coming off the back wheel.

Or..... If you are old school the down tube is where the shifters on your old steel road bike used to be and the seat tube is the part that the saddle fits into ;)

Yeah 3M Heli tape isn't exactly easy to find.... Good stuff though (if you can get it)

VPS have also cottoned on to the fact that there is a market for their off-cuts. They used to give them away but recently I have heard stories that they now have started selling them.
