CWC - Not disapointed anymore. Warranty claim.

Quite a generalised statement. I've been a hubber for sometime and don't agree with your observation. In fact my counter observation is that as the biggest retailer in SA, that I'm personally surprised they haven't had more complaints, which is testament to their excellent service.

In terms of expectations here, the issue is between the OP and Shimano, and how the distributor and retailer get him the warranty claim he seemingly deserves. Slandering CWC for a product they didn't design nor manufacture seems unfair.

Wtf.

The issue was it never got to Shimano/coolheat to warranty, the shop owners were too busy playing bicycles before/at wine2whales, because customers can wait and our staff are so ignorant/dodgy we don't let them handle warranty claims.

For whatever reason threads about unhappy Cwc clients has definitely ramped up, why I don't know.

Granted it is commendable that Chris jnr came on a Sunday night to try make things better but I'm pretty sure the op would have preferred not to have to go to the shop 3 times/start this thread, 2 free tyres isn't worth that pita, that's like a consolation lollipop after the dentist just ripped out your wisdom teeth with no anesthetic, thanks but no thanks.

Not really quite the same as a consolation lollipop.

Plus, it's commendable and RARE that someone will openly admit to dropping the ball and doing something to make it right!

Everyone drops the ball somewhere at some point. Dropping the ball is not the only issue, it's more how the person handles it. Good job CWC!

5: 6 Things not to do on the Hub:

1: Recommend anybody but Bogus for paint work.

2: Say something bad about CWC, even if they were wrong. (3 times)

3: Make a joke about Giants.

4: Tell somebody about how to raise their kids and which movies they can take them too.

5: Try and be rational.

Edit 6: Knock vertical shocks.... Jeeesus, how could I forget. Skies.

PAHHHH make mention of the alu rear triangle on an Anthem.... I double dare you ;)

Giant's internal R&D department has shown that alu is superior to carbon when it comes to the rear triangle... it far outlasts their carbon attempts
