Help Sunscreen

After buying a new batch of SunLabs Dischem suncreen, Iv found that they have changed the formula and it now makes me sweat excessively, just like all the other brands and creams. It took me many tries to finally find one that works, going through nivea(the worst brand iv tried-spray,lotion and stick even the "sport"), TechniBlock(spray&lotion),eversun(stick) and SunLabs(lotion). So you can imagine my dispointment.

I had to stop three times to get the sweat out of my glasses untill I just stopping to wash it out completely.

I would like to ask if anyone has any advice and experience to which one i should try next. Please post your experiances with different brands.

I used to use TechniBlock factor 50 without any issues, but the ones I baught the last 2years or so doesn't seem to work as well, and I would burn really badly.

 

I now use Piz Buin - not cheap, but I've never had bad sunburn with it (even riding 10hr in the sun). I do brown significantly with it though

Island Tribe. I cook like a shrimp and hate the stinging eyes some products give me. Got a sponsored sample of Island Tribe at Sani (or some other big event) and everyone loved it. Have used it since.

Dont apply sunblock above your eyes, I normally stop at my cheeks just below the glasses. I noticed that no matter what brand you use, it will burn your eyes when you sweat if you apply above the eyes and in the upper face region.

What mountain goat said. I never apply above the eye line and wear a thin summer buff which blocks out the sun and soaks up some sweat keeping your eyes sweat free. As for sun block I use kids waterproof sun block and it works a charm.

Avoid overdressing

Also maybe get a halo sweat band or something

Try wearing a Buff.  

 

Works a charm for keeping sweat out and it protects the to half of yr head against Mr. Sun.

Thanks Uncleslow. Never tried it but just got some island tribe clear on your recomendation. Holding thumbs.

 

Pulse- will definitly give Piz Buin a try if tge Island Tribe doesnt do the trick.

 

Iv always had a problem with some products. Have the same problem with hand creams making hands clammy. I can avoid cream although with sunscreen its a bit tough.

 

JAKKALS - do you not find more dripping sweat from the waterproof stuff? Feel like anything that says waterproof could be worse.

you don't need sunscreen above your eyebrows...  apply from your nose, cheecks downwards and your helmet will do the rest

Island tribe stick or Gel. I surf with it for 4 hours plus. It won't go in your eyes.

Technibloc ... won't use anything else now, and I spend a lot of time outdoors for work and play. 

Besides that, a ginger recommended it, if it works on a ginger, well....

It's on special at Due South, 2 x 120ml spray for R120, think it's spf 40 or 50.

 

The spray pattern is a bit retarded(so narrow) but the product that comes out is good.

Give Ultrasun a try. It is a bit expensive but the best of the bunch in my experence.
