Swift - Excellent after sales service

I purchased a Swift Evil Twin on the hub not too long ago.

When I got the bike I took it to my LBS for a major service and the message came back that there was a problem with one of the pivot bearings on the frame.

I contacted Swift and from there they contacted the LBS and between them sorted it out and boom I now have a new frame replaced under the warranty.  I am not even the first owner anymore as per warranty requirements but they said since I just got it from the first owner they would make an exception.

Just a big thumbs up to the Swift guys (Charles and co) from the Cape Town shop.  They even split the shipping fee 50/50 with me.

Having been an avid follower of Swift  on all media the last few months I can truly say Swift is a brand that commits to putting us athletes first.  And they have awesome road and TT bikes as well.  I wish I switched to this brand a lot earlier.

would have been kinder to swift if you changed the title of the post to ...

another win by swift or thumbs up to swift

but still its nice to see a positive shout out to a brand especially a local crew

Can we change this thread title to something like "Why you should buy a Swift" or "Share your Swift story". After the service I've received from these guys I feel compelled to constantly boost the brand.

My Swift story:

I have bought 2 complete bikes from Swift, a Neurogen (TT bike) and Ultravox-TI. Here's just some background on all the "hassles" I've given Swift over the past year ;)

Part I: The Neurogen

The TT bike actually required a lot of modifications as I want my sister to be able to use it if needs be (for SA Champs or such). Charles got me an older seat post (which can sink lower into the frame for her height) and Mark (the mechanic at the Cape Town shop) spent a crap-load of elbow grease grinding the seatpost to have it fit her height. (The frame was the smallest size available, so downsizing wasn't an option). Anyway, at SA Champs this year 2 days before my TT, the crank arm developed a crack. So I was stuck in PMB with a broken crank. A phone call later, Charles organised with Henri Schoeman (yes, the triathlete) to loan me a crank and I was good to go. Today the bike is a perfect fit for both me and my sister and for some freakishly short people, we both have a really good TT setup.

Later today I'll actually post a photo of my setup on the bike. Looks damn fast with a HED 3 trispoke and a disc wheel.

Part II: The Ultravox

After my team-sponsored bike was stolen and there was not a replacement for me, I needed to get my own bike. Contacted Charles again (he's on speed dial by now) and long story short he organised a Ultravox-TI build with SRAM Red and a Rotor crank power meter (and answered my many queries about the latter). The setup allows me to swap over my road power meter to my TT bike as the cranks are both Rotor. Charles even gave me a great discount on the Ultravox and in my opinion it was an excellent price for a bike that weighs 6.8kg   (with my own set of racing wheels).

This time at first I had a problem with the new Rotor power meter. I contacted Rotor international directly to make sure it was covered under warranty and that I didn't c**k up. Thankfully, it was a hassle with the electronics and a week later I had my warranty replacement.

The bikes are a dream to ride, really. The Neurogen is so fast, but is by far the most comfortable TT bike I've ridden. Want to upgrade your Ironman ride, this is your candidate. The Ultravox is so light, but insanely stiff and rigid. I find it even more stiff than an aero bike I rode previously, but is as comfortable and smooth as it is stiff. Don't know how they married up the two like that, but hell it works.

To Charles - who handled all my queries, builds and hassles; and mechanic Mark - who did all the Macgyver work and all my specific requests; and Neil - who answered all my strange questions like "Have they done aero testing on which is faster on the TT bike - bottle or no bottle?"; I say a big thanks. I look forward to a successful 2017 on Swift bikes!
