With the Classic's season pretty much over for 2020, and a rest day at the Giro, here's some interesting behind the scenes look at the last few editions of the Ronde van Vlaanderen

Edition 100 - 2016 (last win for the rainbow hoops)

Edition 101 - 2017 (A la Philippe)

Edition 102 - 2018

Edition 103 - 2019

What a sprint that would have been if JA hadnt crashed?? Hope he heals up fast. Road cycling hasnt been this exciting for a while? The prospect of the 3 of them, Sagan and a few other battling it it in the Classics next year is going to make it very entertaining!!!

Lekker to see that the women's Ronde was sponsored by KPMG. Maybe they could do a little ladies event in SA, would be rad.

That would be pretty awesome!

All we need is a decent +/- 150km route that results in either a sprint finish or a reduced group sprint. The question is more about where exactly to host such a route. Plenty places with good potential.

I hold both in high regard and I'm not in the least surprised to see that exchange. They might not necessarily be friends, and to be clear they don't have to be, but they do clearly hold the other in very high regard for their ability on the bike.

Jered Gruber has a great eye for a fantastic photo. Love his and his wife, Ashley's IG feed as it is just littered with such photos!

Was listening to the latest edition of Talking Luft, the guest being Sam Bewley. A session he hated always on the track - 2 sets of 4 (4 mins on, 4 mins off) as a team pursuit. Mitch asks what he does in the off parts, like easing on the pedals, active recovery. Sam replies, “hook on behind the motorbike, probably at 300W” - the Pros do make it seem so easy.

Listen from 09:00 for the above bit.

I'm dreaming of a full Spring Classics racing calendar for 2021, hey.

Meanwhile:“

The UCI Management Committee also decided to reinforce the regulation concerning potentially dangerous conduct of riders, including throwing a bottle onto the road or within the peloton (which may pose a danger for following riders), and taking up dangerous positions on the bike (especially sitting on the top tube),”  Sauce: CyclingTips

*ComicSans On* Did they say anything on the sock height issue? I mean, if your socks are too long, it could make you 0.025Km/h faster and fall a bit harder as a result of the faster speeds. *ComicSans Off*
