Training schedule showed to take it easy. Simple corned on Northern Farm. Flat road and brain fade (under steer).

TWAK!!! I heard it broke.

R110k and 10 crews later. I spent two days in high care plus another 2 in normal ward before Doctor could operate.

Injuries, broken Clavicle, two cracked ribs, bruised left lung, sprainer neck and a slight concussion.

Helmet is also cracked.

Pics of CT scan and day after operation.

My Clavicle is now about ready to take some training. Still hurts some times but seems to be ok.

That was 3 months ago. Healing was slow. Got a stay at home for three weeks though.

I never would have thought that so many screws can go into a short bone like this.

Dumped the helmet about a month ago but then it was about three years old. Kask Mojito.

4 screws, plate. 4 fractured ribs, cracked helmet, blacked out. Never dis a concussion test. Just shy of R70K. Active physio from week 2 to week 6. Full mobily at week 6.

Shoulder get very tight on the bike after 50km at theh moment, stretching on the bike helps for that. Good luck!

Remember recovery happens because of the after care!

Welcome to the club, you are now a true cyclist. I have broken 3 in the last 3 years  all stupid stuff like yours, two where plated and the second plate is due for removal in Jan. All I can say is you get used to it.

3 weeks off is nice, I only got a few days :whistling:

Healing vibes and get back on the bike.

Sorry to hear mate.

Similar story here, two broken ribs and fractured scapula, big concussion (and seizured), bruised lung - but the collar bone stayed intact.

3 nights high care, 2 nights general.

55k bill and then two weeks off from work.

Back on the bike now :D you'll get there - just do your physio.
