I am giving up on relying on Endomondo ...lost/did not record a couple of rides as of late. It seems that if you are running Endo, and then open the camera on your phone ... or sometimes just access any other app on the phone it drops the recording....at least this is what the trend is showing.

Most apps won't run concurrently it seems. I sync my phone to my sound system at home via BT and have music playing a lot. Every time I receive a message the music jumps for a second as whatsapp receives the message. Then when I want to take a photo the music app pauses. So it might happen on strava as well.

sorry to hear Hairy, there is a way to use Strava, then it syncs to endomondo after the ride and vice versa. I just cannot recall what the app or website was called. Maybe look into that

I have just looked now and from what I can see in my 2(strava and endomondo) profiles it doesn't look like you can link these 2 apps directly. How mine is linked is via garmin connect. I sync with garmin connect and then connect sends to strava and endomondo.

Maybe someone here that doesn't use a garmin can advise? It must be possible.

I have a old Garmin watch I must haul out ... no longer use it because the strap tore and when taking to Garmin they do not replace the straps, but make you rather buy a new "discounted" watch instead.

Anyway, can always just pop the watch face into my pocket or backpack and then load up manually in the office or home ... just not a lekker as running it via the cell .... but we are getting new cellphones soon, so maybe this will resolve the issue.

Just signed up to Endostupidapp and found out that to link Strava - my main tracking app (don't have a gps etc, just use my phone) i need to have degree in programming and create yet another account (Garmin connect) to do so...so just closed the endostupidapp account...

Waste of time and effort...

But if we do that we'll all be knocked down a position on the leaderboard #justsaying  :whistling:
