RIP Andrew

I am just sorry I was not able to provide anymore information on the car I saw driving along Pres Fouche on Thursday morning : The blue car - to me looked like a Opel Astra,  with a broken windscreen. I last saw it at intersection of Pres Fouche & Jacarnada where i turned right. It looked like he was going left.

On my way home from work yesterday I checked the kerbs, sidewalk and island he had driven over in the hope of finding a clue, possibly a registration plate that had fallen off, but had no luck.

I am so sorry. I wish these things never happened.

This is so sad :( .

Condolences to the family.

Maybe there is data from the vehicle tracking companies that could shed some light on any of the 3 vehicles that were in that area?

Ivan I do not think those vehicles have tracking units.

Thank you for looking TucknRoll, we have a piece of headlight that we think might belong to the vehicle but we are not sure.

Another long shot is to approach Crescent Clinic as they have a CCTV camera on their perimeter wall that backs onto Pres Fouche.

Not sure if it scans any of the road, but could be worth a shot.

I also seem to think that maybe the Lina Estate complex on the cnr of Kelly and Pres Fouche may have security cameras on their perimeter walls that may be of help.

Andrew Bradford and I never met personally yet I knew of him. My passion for endurance challenges is how I got to know.

This is so tragic that you pay the ultimate price doing what you love and in a totally tragic and senseless way. Anyone not knowing Andrew personally but sharing a passion for cycling, the wide open spaces, the wind in your face, the quietness, the vastness, the competitiveness, the comradeship, will in some way be affected by Andrew Bradford's passing. Not because it was just another passing but a passing that affects those that also share the passion of cycling and having to deal with the risks day in and day out.

Today, tomorrow, every time we saddle up, we run the risks. It could be one of us, but we cannot allow our lives to be ruled by fear. At best we need to be continually conscious of our surroundings, alert and stay alive. Do what you love and love what you do. So! when you saddle up this afternoon, tomorrow morning, spare a thought for Andrew Bradford and his family in this difficult time...

Every time we get out there, is another day we are privileged to do so! We always only have one shot at life. Live it!

R.I.P Andrew Bradford
