Weet jy toe ek laas jaar my fiets moes verkoop en al my familie om my gestaan en vingers wys het het ek net ondersteuning van my mede hubbers af gekry.  Spidey jy was die eerste wat my gePm het met die woorde ons is almal daardeur sterk staan en deurdruk.

 

Ewep het aangebied dat ek met sy Dale kan ry tot ek weer ok was   Hoeveel het nie ge PM nie met die woorde hoeveel geld het jy nodig nie.  Dis hoe ek die hub leer ken het as mense wat saamstaan en mekaar ondersteun.

 

Maar die afgelope ruk het dit soos 'n sirkus geword waar almal mekaar afkraak , Emosionele postings maak, mekkar slegse en nie een die ander se stand punt respekteer nie en besluit wie en wat JY sal kyk en lees. 

 

Dit is n vry land kom ons hou die hub ook so.

i've never complained about any post yet, but some people have pm'd me about 2 or 3 of mine. one was because of religion, and one was about a cyclist with learning disability.

 

easy enough to edit the post.

 

many of the hubbers have been here for a looooong time, and some people we know from before that on the supercycling messageboard.

 

with many you build up a longterm relationship, even if you never met. I remember like it was yesterday when bigh left for moz, and my heart bled for sammajoor when he had to sell his monoq.

 

yes, there are always the quick, fly by nighters, and the newbies only logging on to sell stuff. (i think there should be a limit of 10 posts before they can advertise, but that is another story)

widget - i've been here a loooong time and had a huge fight with someone but never flet the need for that to be reported - and it's now bygones and i actually miss that person's input on thehub - she has gone very quiet the last few months   i have however reported a post recently - the one that got wayyyyy out of have in a very ugly racist way. so i can't claim to never have reported anything.

 

BUT, the current situation is very childish - peeps are now reporting pathetic inonsequential issues just because they didn't get their way to continue with offensive stuff and unfortunately they seeem to be taking thier childish behaviour out ont he folk who accepted a level of self-imposed (albeit by request) moderation.

 

c'mon folks, grow up. of go away - then the old crowd might just crawl back outta their holes.... we miss them and their cycling related conversations.

Hmm' date=' sounds like we have quite a few un-official mods here.

 

There was a post a while back - I didnt reply - about, Have you ever Reported a post? - well,....... I along with Scotty, Linnega, Cruxpearl, Big H and a few others have been here since day 1,............ and I have never yet FELT the need to report a post, and can honestly say I never will.!!

 

I will always be prepared to listen to anothers point, discuss it in a friendly manner, say my piece and move on.No hidden agendas.

 

If I find their opinions / posts offensive to me, I just flip onto another post. They have as much right as me to make a statement.

 

I really dont agree with the "report" button, if you find a post offensive, racial, demeaning, say so in public and make your rational behind the reason known, or dont read it and move on.

 

Lets leave the folk designated to deal with this to do so. Linnega and Crux are quite able to make sane rational decisions, its quite unnecessary to have a panel of unofficial mods with an agenda.

Why has everyone all of a sudden become report happy.  Yes maybe we are labouring an issue' date=' but to report every issue because you feel offended is laughable to say the least.

What has become of the Hub, has it now become a reporters dream, just because you feel that you must be the "watcher of the hub"

Somehow i missed the boat re finding out who Lonestar was - i'd given up on the SS site because of allt he kark. so Scotty, spill the beans - who is he (hub-wise)????

I dont know why you're all so suprised. the exact same thing happened last year and a few hubbers left, promising never to return (BigH and Popeye, amongst others). BigH came back but as Hendrick_petoors, and popeye was noticed as being "online" a few times but never posted for a couple of months. Then when the storm had blown over, they all came back.
