WIPEOUT 1000 Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Depends on the internal width of your rims, in short if you fit a wide tyre on a narrow rim it will most likely compromise your handling, especially when cornering.

No brainer really.On Conti GP4000s yes, 28 has less rolling resistance then 23 or 25. But not on Schwalbe Pro One tubeless. Wider means more drag. But only up to Conti levels. I didn't even bother checking and my 2015 EVO could only take 23 max (2016 version can take 25), luckily the shop i was ordering from only had 23c and I wasnt going to wait until the importers got now stock. I stuck them on wide ass AMC tubeless road rims to really get the max benefits out of them (better profile, ability to run low pressures etc). On a nice wide rim a 23 looks massive! No point really putting 25 or 28s on 14mm wide rim though as you just get a weird mushroom effect but in a frame with good clearance and a wide rim... 28 would be pretty nice.
