Evans Cycles - Royal Mail

Hi guys

 

I had an order shipped from Evans Cycles on 13/02/2017 with Royal Mail (thought their only option was DHL).  After I found out it was shipped with Royal Mail, then I received some more bad news.  They don't provide a tracking number.

 

Has anyone gone through this process,  How can I find out where my parcel is?  Hopefully the parcel goes directly to CT and not JHB.

Be patient, ordered something last year December, it only arrived last week.

 

ok Be very very patient.

 

there is no way of tracking it

That is not goods news.  According to Evans Cycles the parcel should reach SA in 9-12 working days.  By that calculation it should have been in SA by the end of last week.

 

Don't want to way months for my crank to arrive

Phone Joburg International Mail Centre.... expect to be on hold a very long time.

 

Tell them the date sent from the UK, your name and delivery address, then can then trace if it is in the system by delivery address and give you the local tracking number.  You will then be able to track it online.

All my stuff I ordered in December I have received already. 

Stuff I have ordered in Jan is still arriving and some sitting in Joberg for 3 weeks now. One parcel is at cape mail for 2 weeks already and the phone stays engaged.

How were you able to get tracking information?

Phone them up and say it hasn't arrived yet - ask what the process is and how long to wait before you ask they resend another one.

I bought from them on the 27th December 16 paid the VAT on the 2nd and arrived 3 January 17 and that was with DHL  tracked from the UK no problems. i think we were just lucky. :clap:

I ordered something using royal mail but with a tracking number. It took 30 days but I wouldn't have known it was here if it wasn't tracked. They tried to deliver when I wasn't home but they didn't leave a notice. I would never have known it was sitting at the post office

I ordered in November. Part of the order was shipped via DHL courier with in a week. The second part was sent via post office...After several unanswered emails from EVANS, I assumed the worst.

 

Post office delivered the second shipment 2 weeks ago.

 

Better than a kick in the crotch I guess... :wacko:

I have bought regularly over the years via the online companies in the UK. If I could share a bit of advice -pay the extra and use DHL door to door. Your order is then here in a few days and they handle the clearing etc.  It costs a bit extra but saves a lot of stress. If your order is just for one small thing then see whether your riding buddies need anything and double up the order. My last Evans order took less than a week. 

 

Use Post Office/Royal Mail and you are in the hands of the Gods!!

No tracking number = no goods...sorry but JIMC will ask for the international tracking number to trace it in their pile - and I ain't joking about the pile bit...
