you have to question how even though she is going around the same loop a lot of the time, the average elevation of that loop in the changes lap to lap, some laps are at 12m some at 26m, obviously hasn't calibrated her device or it is not accurate...

I would literally die of boredom if I had to attempt something like this on a 10km(?) course.

Impressed at her average speed though, all her rides are close to 30km/h. I assume there are no wind there (and finding a course where you can do a 400km ride with less than 200m climbing is bloody impressive)

Would rather do something like Grant Clark did.

How is this possible though. If you look at her stats she is pretty consistent over the last year. So she cycles 360km a day at avg of 30km/h. So 12h of cycling every day? not even pros cycle that much....little weird

Read her bio... she is doing some type of 12 month world record thing.

She probably has a husband who works and she just hops on her bike and rides all day.

Her ass  must be made of steel!

I also didn't know that something like this would be humanly possible at the consistent speed that she does it, would be interesting to see how they verify it if it is for some official record

She's going for the calendar year Guiness Book of Records effort at the most miles\kms covered.

I find this guys attempt far more impressive! Besides the weather he has to ride through, he is doing it all on fully open roads around the UK!

Not saying this is easy, or that I could do it...

But over my 1000km of cycling this year I have done nearly the same elevation that she has done in 28000km of cycling (and I ride in Gauteng) - that route must be mind numbingly boring!!!

Agree, ok I only now see Savage's post that it is on a recumbent. Still impressive but a bit cheating imo. Far easier on your body per day I guess if you can lay on your back the whole time.

the most impressive bit is still surviving the boredom!

Its also more aero, so much easier going faster on flat roads. She rides a rear disc and 80mm front, so its pretty chilled.

I reckon these are like 250km rides on normal bikes in SA.

She is amazing been following her on strava for the last 6 months.

Read her bio and you find she is even more amazing.

She is not on a recumbent.

She tops the Strava distance challenge every month (ok - duh but that is how I found her)

Then what is that thing she is sitting on in the pics of her last ride posted by Ben Tomblin? (Can't download the pics directly)

She is riding around Tampa in Florida... Unless I am horribly mistaken that is a hot as hell, mosquito laden paradise. She must cook in a recumbent! Unless it has aircon.

After two laps of Koeberg I am a bored so she must have a mind like a steel trap. Incredible effort, though. Deserves a kudos or twelve!

Just google her - and then read her bio as well.

(She may well have done some rides on a recumbent)
