and more than likely lighter than the XX1. I know previous iterations of the carbon SRAM cranks weren't that light.

XX1 is currently the lightest. Marginal, but it wins for now.

OP - XX1 all the way. Mainly because of the variety of chainrings available for the direct mount standard. XTR chainrings are a unique spec which severely limits your options.

Where do you get your info on the weights? Post the info and where you got it. I`m not sure about if it is still the case, but the Raceface Next SL has been significantly lighter than the XX1 in the past:

So what do you pay for that 100g?

Starts to look like a drug habit lol

What does one pay for the few grams the xx1 and xtr has over the xt? And for the few grams the slx has pver the xt? etc...and yes just like with drugs sometimes its better to pay a bit more to get the good ****

dude. That's from April 2014. That old XX1 crank is the one I was referring to... I had one of those and it was a tank, for a carbon crank.

And it's 493g incl the chainring. Courtesy of BikeRumour

ah yea, sorry.

Still. Would rather get a SAINT crankset. Stronger. just a little bit heavier. 1/3rd the price.

I'm with you there Myles strength over weight, some people are so hopped up on weight and forget strength

considering a bog-standard Shimano Deore 3x10 cranks that costs R900 weighs 657g with dirt on it...It's REALLY hard for me to justify the 200g saving for the RaceFace Next SL G4's....aside from the bling and awesomeness factor....but moer it's almost 10x the price :|

Exactly what good is your 300g crank if its broken off the spindle ?

My turbine crank is not the lightest but also not heaviest and it takes one hell of A beating
