NX setup question

Got my NX upgrade kit today.

All installed and everything shifts butter smooth except the last gear.

Before it goes over the pulley and the last cog grind against each other hard now logic says less b tension but then when its in the last gear the pulley is way off from the last cog and as i understand it , in the last cog the pulley should be as close to the gear as possible without grinding on eachother ( or is this just shimano ? )

Any tips ?

You've answered your own question. Clearance should be minimal, but also not rub anywhere. If it's rubbing / interfering, it's not enough clearance.

Yip. Get the clearance dialled whilst in the 42T sprocket and then go down the block and check clearance. If you've got just the right amount of clearance in the 42T sprocket, you should have clearance with the rest of the block.

So, what did you do to resolve it?

Don't just say "Sorted" , it's quite rude to leave us hanging like that.  :whistling:

^This, when someone googles it and has the same problem they get right up to the point where they think they might find the answer and instead find "sorted"

okay so after riding around A bit ( still studying for my exam on thursday  ) I've noticed A distinct grinding feeling on my pedals.

Its chain suck , is worn or giving A grinding feeling

The chainring is A rapide NW 30t ( probably 1000km at the most )

Will it go away as the chain stretches a bit after the first few rides ? ( drivetrain has probably 9km on it excluding the chainring)

Or should I just get A new NW ?

Sounding like noob but I don't wana wear the drive train prematurely

That grinding you experience is a new chain on worn chainring. Replace your chainring and it'll gone.

When I did my X1 conversion with the NX I bought an absolute black chain ring, I. not sure about the "rapide" but the "absolute" has built up spacers where the chain ring bolts secure the chainring to the crank(maybe check that out something about alignment)..... anyways long story short my conversion was super easy no pain.

Check if chain is on the ring the correct way. Easy thing to miss. Also the only way a clean ring would suck a chain.

What do you mean ?

Its A NW chainring so it can only go on the chainring one way

Some chains are uni directional, or so I have heard.

Never encountered that myself.
